BRIEFLY, COUNCIL OF DEANS OF COMMUNICATION FACULTIES

The Council of Deans of Communication Faculties is briefly referred to as İLDEK, and its members consist of deans of communication faculties located in Turkey, the Northern Cyprus, and Kyrgyzstan. Since the year 2000, the Deans of Communication Faculties have been meeting at least once a year, hosted by a communication faculty.

Our Vision

To enable its graduates to reach a level where they can compete in the field of communication on a global scale.

Our Mission

By analyzing the current status of the faculties, to determine the principles of their strategic restructuring, ensure the adaptation of new technologies into communication education, and equip graduates with competitive and sustainable knowledge and skills, to make recommendations in the form of decisions and submit them to relevant institutions and organizations.

Our Goals

To develop recommendations that ensure communicators produce impartial content, boldly confront wrongdoings and injustices, and foster the education of communicators who embrace ethical principles, enabling them to stand for what is right and just, rather than siding with the powerful.

Our Activities

Since 2000, the Deans of Communication Faculties have been meeting at least once a year, hosted by one of the communication faculties.

İLDEK places great importance on the accreditation of these faculties. To achieve accreditation, İLDEK launched İLEDAK (Communication Education Accreditation Board) in January 2018, with approval from the relevant authorized bodies. İLDEK considers its primary mission to modernize, update, and ensure the sustainability of communication education, raising it to a level that contributes to the country’s development.
