In 1992, he graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Science, with a degree in Business Administration. The following year, he began his academic career as a research assistant at Afyon Kocatepe University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, in the Department of Business Administration. He completed his postgraduate studies there, earning a Ph.D. in 2002.
Afterward, he broadened his expertise in economics by working in the family business in the private sector, gaining valuable business experience. In 2004, he joined Pamukkale University’s Honaz Vocational School Business Administration Program as a lecturer, and in 2006, he was promoted to Assistant Professor. During his time at Honaz Vocational School, he played a key role in the institution’s growth and development, assuming numerous academic and administrative responsibilities. Notably, he contributed to the establishment of the new campus and the introduction of the 3+1 education model, which has been implemented in only eight educational institutions across the country since 2014.
In 2013, he transitioned to the Faculty of Communication at Pamukkale University, where he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising. In 2015, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Management and Strategy. He continued to take on academic and administrative roles within the Faculty of Communication, and in 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Professor in the Department of Public Relations and Publicity.
In August 2021, Prof. Dr. Ali Soylu was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Communication. He is married and has one daughter.
