He completed his undergraduate education in 2006 at the Department of Public Relations and Publicity, Faculty of Communication, Ankara University. He received his integrated doctoral degree from the Department of Public Relations and Publicity, Institute of Social Sciences, Ankara University in 2014.

He began his academic career in 2007 as a research assistant at the Department of Public Relations and Publicity, Institute of Social Sciences, Ankara University, a position he held until 2014. In 2015, he was appointed Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Relations and Publicity, Faculty of Communication, Fırat University. He was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor (2018) and Professor (2023) within the same faculty and department. He served as Head of the Interpersonal Communication Division in the Department of Public Relations and Publicity, Faculty of Communication, Fırat University. Since 2025, he has been serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Fırat University.

His research, centered on the role of communication in democratic processes, has primarily been conducted in the fields of political communication, advertising, and various areas of public relations. In recent years, sustainability communication has become his primary research focus; a three-year project funded by TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye) under the 1001 program has been completed in this field.

He has authored three books: Reklam Dayatır [Advertising Imposes] (2017), Halkla İlişkiler 1900’lerden 2000’lere [Public Relations from the 1900s to the 2000s] (2018), and Siyasal İletişim: Kavramlar Temalar Tartışmalar [Political Communication: Concepts, Themes, Debates] (2023). He contributed a chapter to Dealing With Socially Responsible Consumers (2023), published by Palgrave Macmillan, and a new international book project on sustainability communication is currently in progress.

He has also published articles in various nationally and internationally recognized journals, including SBF, Mülkiye, Kültür ve İletişim, İlef Dergi, and Moment Dergi.
