She was one of the first graduates of Kocaeli Anatolian High School in 1987. She graduated from İstanbul University, Department of Journalism and Public Relations at the School of Press and Broadcasting in 1991. She graduated and received her master’s degree in 1994 from the Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Public Relations and Publicity Master’s Program by completing her master’s thesis titled “Publicity of Türkiye”. In the same year, she was accepted and enrolled in the doctoral program of the same institute. After freezing her doctorate program, she went to the United States to do a second master’s degree in economics, but returned before completing the program. In 1999, she completed her PhD thesis titled “Turkey’s Publicity Policy During the Atatürk Era (1919-1938) and the Place of Turkish Revolutions Within This Policy” and received her doctorate degree.

During her student years, she worked at İLETİM, the practice newspaper of the İ.U. Press and Broadcasting School, and in 1990 she won first place in the Page-Design/Layout Category in the Hürriyet Newspaper Young Journalists Competition.

She started her career in the private sector while she was senior undergraduate and continued after she graduated, and worked as General Coordinator of M5 Defense and Weapon Systems Magazine, Press and Public Relations Manager at Urart Handicrafts Inc., Customer Potential Creation Department Manager at Gemsan Chemical Factory, and Press Relations Manager at the Games Village at the Universiade 2005 Izmir World Summer University Games.

In 2005, she worked as the Press and Public Relations Director and Lecturer Dr. at the KTMU Faculty of Communication at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU), and between 2006 and 2009, she worked as an Assistant Professor Dr. and Head of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at KTMU Faculty of Communication.

In 2009, she served as the Department Head, Vocational School Director and Dean at the Communication Faculties of Cyprus International University and Girne American University in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. In 2013, she received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Public Relations from YÖK-ÜAK.

In 2016, she started working at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the European University of Lefke and served as the Head of the Department of New Media and Journalism. In 2020, she was awarded the title of Professor in the field of Public Relations at the same university. She is currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the European University of Lefke and the Head of the Department of New Media and Communication.

Public relations, publicity, political communication, intercultural communication, new media are among her academic interest and fields of study. She has numerous national and international studies, papers and articles, publications in journals indexed in international indexes, memberships in the Editorial Board, Publication Board, Scientific and Advisory Board of symposiums and congresses, international journals. She is the author of the book titled “Dictionary of Public Relations, Publicity, Advertising and Marketing Concepts with Turkish and Kyrgyz explanations and English and Russian word equivalents”.

Within the scope of the “lifelong learning” approach, she graduated from the Department of Law Justice program, Audiovisual Techniques and Media Production Department Web Design and Coding program, Social Media Management program and Business Management program at the Anadolu University Open Education Faculty.

She carried out the AQAS Accreditation Process of the New Media and Communication program at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the European University of Lefke and updated the curriculum of the program.

She was a member of the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR). She is currently a member of the Communication Research Association (İLAD), the Türkiye Public Relations Association (TÜHİD), and serves as an evaluator in the İLAD-İLEDAK Communication Education Accreditation processes. As of May 2025, she has been elected as a member of the İLEDAK Executive Board.

She speaks English fluently, German, Kyrgyz and Russian intermediately.
